A beautiful view, but not a great overall experience

Liked:This property has a really beautiful location with a view of the ocean. It is very spacious. If you are traveling with a group and value an ocean view, it could be a nice choice. The owner gave clear instructions for accessing the property and was a prompt communicator.

Disliked:I never met the owner in person, everything was done remotely. I was very surprised that I was contacted off of Booking.com to share my passport and to pay additional fees (in my case a pet fee) through an external payment link off of the booking.com site. I was concerned at first that this request for money through an external link was a scam (it was not- but it was concerning until I understood better). The charges were legitimate, but it was off-putting without an actual human face or voice to put to the whole transaction. More significantly, we could not use the master bedroom at the property for the two nights that we stayed there because it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. I let the owner know. She told me that she was looking into the matter and would get back to me. I held off reviewing the property until I heard from her- but never did. It was a very expensive stay for not being able to use the whole property. I think it is a new property and perhaps as it gets up and running it will be a nice stay.
