Greed , exploitation ..

Disliked:I had a very bad experience here. I made a mistake while booking and accidentally reserved a bed in a female dorm. I also arrived late at night. Instead of trying to help me find a reasonable solution, they told me I had to pay an extra 500 NOK. No cancellation was accepted, and at that time of night my choices were basically to pay or leave and end up on the street with nowhere to go. What bothered me most was the way the situation was handled. I have made similar booking mistakes while travelling around the world, and normally staff try to help or at least offer another room at a reasonable rate. Here, there was no flexibility, no discount for another dorm, and I was charged the full amount shown on the screen. I paid calmly because I had very little choice at that hour, but I will never forget how I was treated. In all my travels, I have rarely experienced something that felt so rude, exploitative and focused only on money. I will not stay here again.

Disliked:1. Chaos at reception, many old people waiting to get a room, perhaps due to cancellation 2. Bookings cancelled for other guests without prior notice 3. Not value for money

Poor for a hostel

Liked:It was the cheapest options I could find in Oslo. I am well accustomed to hostels and it was on the more basic end of my expectations. The check in was easy process and location was great. Good locker space and a clean bathroom. I would 1000% stay again because the city of Oslo is so good and this was a cheap accommodation option to be able to see it

Disliked:I had to pay to check in a few minutes early which was ok however it was only around €4 and i just feel like it was unnecessary for the <30minute time. A bad start for guests when room is ready anyway . Then i went to my room and i was quite let down by the dustiness of the room and lack of typical hostel facilities. There were 2 plugs in the room for 6 beds, none were at the top bunks obviously which meant you had to charge phone on the floor during the night for example and i was top bunk, solo female traveller which felt a little unsafe. I pulled the curtains across and i saw a really dusty odd sock on the window ledge. The room was rally cramped and beds really rickety, no privacy measures for the guests like curtains. The bathroom was ok and clean but there was another bathroom in the corridor and the handle fell off on me at one point.

Liked:I stayed in the 14 bed Dorm the first 2 nights and it was great, you have a curtain on the bunk and the dorm has plenty of space, there are 2 showers in that room and staff work hard keeping the place fresh and clean.

Disliked:Having to move to the 6 bed dorm for my last night ( i added a night and it was the only option) The price was very high for a dorm bed, 103 euros per night, September 2026.
