Out of date rooms, inconsistent service - not a 4 star

Liked:location - delightful area and beautiful grounds the common areas of the hotel had been upgraded and were nice breakfast - good variety and nice quality the blonde receptionist

Disliked:Room had no AC and a view of pipes Room was very dated Room had peeling wallpaper The dark haired receptionist who refused to acknowledge that the room was not acceptable and said she couldnt offer us another room even though there were rooms available online. Her tone was very abrupt. They repaired the wallpaper by glueing it back down. The AC unit on wheels they had provided didnt work well and was extremely loud. We couldnt get food on sunday during the day so had to go to the supermarket. The service was really mixed - the staff seemed young and inexperienced in the restaurant You had to request your room to be cleaned.. which is weird for a 4 star hotel. We requested daily but only got cleaned once in 4 days...

Liked:Decent gym. Good room Good AC Lots of parking V close to the nearby Arnhem museum. Breakfast was decent. Easy to reach from the motorway Local town is very nice, wealthy and quiet but not that many restaurants.

if you stay in new part it is good, if you stay in old part of the hotel doesn`t worth the money

Liked:my friends stayed in new part of the hotel and I had to stay in the older version of the hotel which I didn`t like

Disliked:that I had to stay in old part of the hotel, having Air conditon from ancient times, while walking in the room, surface was not flat, everytime hearing old wooden floor sounds

Flat out awful.

Liked:Option to walk around the property or use bikes. Pool was ok.

Disliked:Room was falling apart. Room 109 balcony is dangerous as the roof is peeling and can almost hit someone’s head. Check in process is terrible. Everyone complained about the kiosk system. Laptop lady had to check everyone in manually. Very short with comments. Most customers were frustrated. Other staff members were extremely rude. Yelled at my son and I for eating a chocolate candy while waiting (they were sitting in a basket at check in desk - we assumed they were for the guests). Bar was only open Friday/Saturday. We left after 1 hour on property and went to a great hotel in Arnhem. This is a 2 star property cloaked in a 4 star rating. Will never be back. No refund was offered - just a free beer when I complained about the staff.
