Comfortable hotel in good location

Liked:We spend a couple of nights here as a base for a visit to Hakone. The hotel is a short walk from Odawara station and the Castle is also within easy walking distance. We arrived a little early for check-in but were warmly greeted and helped through the registration process. The room was compact but clean and perfectly adequate. Breakfast was included and is taken in a busy area on the ground floor. The food is mostly Japanese as are most guests but we found plenty there to help us start the day. In the evening we explored the centre of Odawara which is close by. Plenty of variety is available but this was one place on our trip where Google Translate came in useful making the place feel a little more like authentic Japan. No problem in recommending this hotel for anyone staying in Odawara.

Don’t get a smoking room!! Don’t know how to correct that through TripAdvisor.

Liked:Very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately we somehow got a smoking room and I tried to change, but hotel was full. It smelled like smoke on the whole floor and terribly in our room. Not sure if that’s because I booked through TripAdvisor. Bed was uncomfortable, but in great location.

Good hotel to stay, positive review

Liked:We picked there for the good reviews, very reasonable price and close to the station (4 min walk & easy to find). Stayed for 2 nights, breakfast was very good, lots of section however if you're non Japanese you might find the seleciton limited. The eating area is not big so you have to go there early when it opens to get a table. Room is clean and functional. This is a no-nonsense hotel for businessmen and travellers, I'd stay in their chaain of hotels if we go back to Japan again.

Great price

Liked:This hotel is very close to the train station. It is also just down the road from the castle. The price was very reasonable and the room included a desk and chair. I thought the room was rather large comoared to Japanese standard rooms. Like most beds in Japan, it is hard. The pillows are also typical Japanese flat pillows.
