Nice is a beautiful city just not at this hotel will return to nice again this year but in better accommodation.

Liked:The bar and breakfast was nice

Disliked:Staff where unhelpful. Had a fire alarm 3am in morning no staff around to inform us if we can return to room. And no guidance as how too get us back to room. Tried to charge us extra for a breakfast we had already paid. Very unhelpful at front desk. Booked a city view and was told we got an upgrade to a garden view and couldn’t be moved but not what we wanted.

This hotel is a 3 star, great location if you like being central.

Liked:The property was in a good location, it was less than 10 minutes from the train station and tram station. It was just under 15 minutes from the beach and old town. The shower was great, plenty of hot water with a huge rain shower head.

Disliked:The roof top pool didn’t have enough beds for those wanting them. It was also looking tired up there. The corridor to our room looked in need of renovation. Our room had the smallest wardrobe and a hard bed.

Liked:Roof top pool was lovely and much needed, nice to have towels available and the bar area was nice.

Disliked:There were 3 lifts 1 of which didn’t work after 9:30pm, 1 of the lifts broke down, then the other one next to it broke down and the third stopped working due to the time. Had to ask at reception how to get to our floor, no signage. Got charged on arrival even though I had already paid through booking.com, if I hadn’t checked it wouldn’t have been noticed. Shower in the bathroom was absolutely appalling. There was hardly any water coming out of it and when it did it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. We had to wash our hair under the tap. Not what I’d expect from a Marriott hotel being charged so much. Rooms felt and looked very tired and could do with some attention.
