OK, but not up to the name of Welshes top golf resort.

Liked:Sadly we was put in a room where an extractor unit was right outside our window and was noisy all day and night, plus the room was next to the lift which were heard too and where also the cleaners at 8am in the morning decided to have a catch up whilst they banged and sorted their cleaning equipment, not good at all. Also the golf courses (Montgomerie and Roman road) were in rterrible condition. I accept that the sun played a part and the fairways were very straw like but sadly no excuse for cut up tee's, bunkers being remade and were ground under repair. On the saturday we were playing the Montgomerie course as the Roman road was holding a ladies competition, which meant that the mens changing rooms were closed and we were told to use the members changing, however, no lockers were available and the golf pro staff member knew nothing of the mens changing being closed and could neither deal with us not having any lockers where we need to put our change of clothes etc. Not the experience all in all I expected at such a prestigious resort.

Great place to stay

Liked:Stayed in Manor House (Old part of the building), but the newest part is called the Celtic Hotel. (More expensive to stay in the Manor, but remarkably cheaper in the Celtic Hotel. ) Loved the experience but would probably go for the Celtic Hotel, where all the action is. Breakfast is located near the main reception. Food choices are excellent. Would recommend trying the Indian restaurant there, called Sona, in the Celtic Hotel near reception. I had the onion bhajis & lamb korma, and Pilau rice. Pad Thai restaurant's food is also amazing. On the last day we were staying, we only found out about the Melin bar, which had entertainment in the evening.
