Serviceable hotel with great views

Liked:I've stayed in both the ocean view and non-ocean view rooms when attending conferences at the Agate Beach Inn. The rooms themselves are a little plain—the furniture is pretty no-frills but in good shape. Views from the ocean view rooms are lovely, and staff has been nothing but kind and professional. The only real downside is that when booking a room in a room block over the phone, it can take several attempts to get through, and we aren't provided a code we could use to book those rooms online. In the future it would be really great if conference room blocks could be provided some method to book from the room block online, so we don't have to inundate the front desk with calls! The conference space is adequate, but the lighting surrounding the projector screens make slideshows hard to read, especially if you're seated slightly off to the side rather than squarely in front of the screen. This wasn't an issue when I attended in 2025, so there may be new lightbulbs or aging projector lights affecting that quality. Overall, it's a pretty normal hotel with some lovely views and quality staff. If the views and easy beach access are worth it to you, it's probably worth the price; if you're looking for a luxurious room experience, it may be worth looking elsewhere.
