Disliked:⭐☆☆☆☆ 1/5 Stars My stay at Sonesta Select Newark from July 31 through August 2 was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was that room 437 had no effective cooling or air conditioning throughout our stay. Despite bringing this problem to the hotel's attention, it was never adequately resolved, making the room uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of customer service afterward. Following our stay, I sent two separate emails to management regarding the issue and have received no response whatsoever. A simple acknowledgment, explanation, or attempt to address the concern would have gone a long way, but the complete lack of communication reflects poorly on the property's commitment to guest satisfaction. When guests pay for a hotel room, basic comfort, including a properly functioning cooling system, should be expected. Equally important is responsive management when problems are reported. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property and would think twice before staying at a Sonesta hotel again. Room Stayed In: 437 Dates of Stay: July 31 - August 2 Pros: Convenient location. Cons: Non-functioning room cooling, uncomfortable stay, and no response from management despite multiple emails. Overall, a very disappointing experience that was made worse by the lack of follow-up from hotel management.
