Neighborhood Guide

Hotels in NoMad New York City ranked for 2026

Every hotel on this list sits within NoMad's verified boundaries, roughly 25th to 30th Street between Fifth and Lexington Avenues. Rankings follow a fixed order: sustainability-certified properties first, then star rating, then guest review scores. The list covers at least one mid-range and one upscale option so readers at different budgets find something that checks out.

How we ranked these NoMad hotels

Address verification came first. Any property whose street address fell outside the 25th–30th Street corridor between Fifth and Lexington Avenues was cut, regardless of brand recognition. After that, hotels with verified sustainability certifications or published eco programs ranked above those without. Within the same sustainability tier, higher star ratings moved up. Guest review scores from Google and Booking.com broke ties at the same star level, and alphabetical order resolved any remaining draws.

The NoMad Hotel New York, once the neighborhood's flagship boutique property at 1170 Broadway, permanently closed in 2020 and did not reopen under the same brand. It is not included. The Hyatt Place New York Midtown South at 52 West 36th Street falls outside the northern boundary and is also excluded. We have a separate page for hotels near Penn Station if that location suits you better.

Booking tips for NoMad

  • Madison Square Park sits at the southern edge of NoMad at 23rd Street — hotels on 25th Street put you a 2-minute walk from the park's north entrance.
  • The N and R trains stop at 28th Street and Broadway, which is the most central subway access point for the neighborhood.
  • NoMad fills up during New York Fashion Week (February and September) and the National Restaurant Association Show in May — book at least 6 weeks out for those windows.
  • Street parking is metered and scarce. If you drive, budget $40–$60 per night for a nearby garage on West 27th Street.

What makes NoMad worth choosing over Midtown

NoMad sits between the Flatiron District and Koreatown, which means guests get walkable access to some of Manhattan's best independent restaurants without paying Midtown South hotel premiums. The 28th Street subway stop (N, R, W) connects you to Times Square in 10 minutes and to the World Trade Center in under 25. The neighborhood also borders the flower district on West 28th Street, which gives the blocks between Sixth and Seventh Avenues a distinct character that Midtown blocks lack.

For travelers who want proximity to the Javits Center or Penn Station, the walk from NoMad's northern edge at 30th Street runs about 10 minutes. We cover hotels closer to those transit hubs on our Penn Station hotels page.
