It was fine

Liked:Had a middling hotel experience, hence the 3 stars. Maybe I built up my expectations a bit, but when I paid for a “courtyard view” and just got a first floor room with a “view” of a brick wall it was pretty disappointing and felt like a rip off since I paid the same as the people with an actual courtyard view. The room was cleaned acceptably, but not sparkling. However, the rug was pretty grimy. The in-room amenities were extremely sparse. No water bottles or any nice touches. It was smaller than what I saw in pictures here. Security felt flimsy as the door seemed like I could open it if I just put my weight into it since it was loosely latched. During the day it’s also possible to just walk straight into the courtyard without being a guest so it’s fine, but not confidence inspiring. Customer service was fine, with typical New Orleans character.

Charm, Beautiful Court Yard & Location

Liked:Love this hotel have stayed here since the 1984 Worlds Fair whenever rooms were/are available, Charm, Beautiful Court Yards, Location, Location & Location! 1/2 block from Jackson Square and a block & 1/2 from Bourbon. Wonderful helpful Staff. The only thing missing is a little more Southern Hospitality…coffee, juice, croissant’s, sweet rolls & fruit that was graciously provided in the past.

Solo trip to Nola

Liked:The Hotel is great. The staff treated me amazingly well and are very helpful. The hotel is beautiful. For being such an old historical building is incredibly modern and luxurious. It’s centrally located right next to Jackson Square and just off asked Royal Street.
