Once Reliable, Now Disappointing

Liked:I have stayed at Omni Royal Orleans for many years as part of my work travel, which makes this recent experience especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this stay fell well below the standard I had come to expect. The arrival experience was unwelcoming, and we were not informed about amenities associated with our membership. The pool was under construction and the spa was closed, with little communication about alternatives. The valet pricing was difficult to read and significantly higher than my previous visit, which was an unwelcome surprise. Our room had a nice view, but the layout was awkward, the furniture was worn, and the chest of drawers was unusable. The room was freezing cold, the heating issue was never resolved, and hot water was shut off without warning. As a result, we were unable to sleep comfortably. The renovations felt piecemeal and unattractive, and the overall atmosphere seemed strained. After many years of loyalty to this property, this stay has unfortunately caused me to reconsider returning.

We were clearly not welcome

Liked:Front desk receptionist on 2/15 was friendly whatsoever. We were greeted with disdain, like we weren’t welcome. We also weren’t given our appropriate benefits as an Omni member, nor were we given the correct room we paid for. We were given a smaller room, not as advertised. Although the location in the FQ is ideal, the greet staff would keep us away from here.
