The host was warm however the furniture and appliances were falling apart. Bad value for money

Liked:The host was warm and was quick to respond to my concerns.
Disliked:The furniture was broken, the hot water dispenser broke on the second day, lamps were not working and the room was suffocating. I did not expect this value for the money I paid.

Sadly, could not stay.

Liked:The location was nice and the area was beautiful. Attractive property.
Disliked:We rented the “triple room”. All comments are in reference to that room. Please note that we are not the kind that are overly demanding or picky about where we stay. We need clean, comfortable and well maintained. Also we expect a responsive host interested in the comfort of his guests. The house was in bad repair. When we walk in, the smell was stuffy and musty. The windows were old wood with chipping paint and would not open properly to air it out. We inquired about that but got no response. It was very small and not as nice as the pictures presented it. The floor was not level in the bathroom. Overall, it did not feel well maintained. Due to the smell, we simply could not comfortably spend the night there and so we left and booked a room at the LaQuinta for two nights. We were hoping James would reasonably give us at least a refund for one of the two nights but he was not willing. Yes we know the policy, but we also know customer satisfaction and reasonableness. In the end, we just had to take the loss. The place has potential with a little investment. We hope this review will be helpful.
