Wonderful!

Liked:I can’t say enough about this fantastic place. It’s very clean, quiet and the food was wonderful. The pool was never crowded and the beach is just past the pool. Customer service was top notch. Jitney is easy to catch or you can usually grab a driver that is already there. We chose this because it was smaller and can’t wait to go back.

Great hotel be aware of sales pitches

Liked:Clean and nice rooms and hotel. Relaxing and nice beach.

Disliked:They offer free 1st day breakfast without telling you that they're tricking you into listening a very aggressive sales pitch for 2-3 hours. They try to sell vacation packages. It's very frustrating and dishonest process as they hide that initially and bait you in to that sales pitch. Makes you really mad, stressed and frustrated on day 1. This is not a way to run a hotel, we won't be coming back or recommend a friend. Either run a nice hotel or run a vacation sales scam type of agency.

We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter, more relaxing beachfront getaway.

Liked:I had a wonderful stay at Goldwyn Hotel. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. The beach was peaceful and relaxing, and the pool area was beautiful and enjoyable. One of our favorite things was the hotel’s location right on the beach walk, making it easy to enjoy the ocean and surrounding area. We especially appreciated the calm atmosphere compared to many larger resorts. It was much less crowded, which made for a more relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The food was decent, but there is room for improvement. Expanding the room service menu and enhancing the food quality would make the overall experience even better.

Beware the massive construction project

Liked:On the pluses: hotel is smart, modern and tastefully decorated. Quite a sophisticated look. Staff were largely welcoming, although some of the service was a little patchy. Our room was huge, with a big terrace, albeit the main view was a next door office type block, but also with some limited golf and sea view (for just short of £400 per night all in). Food in the main restaurant was very good, food from the beach bar was mixed. Pool and beach are good and clean. Hotel is a short walk along the beach to baha mar which was fun for the casino and party vibe. Hotel is one for families so for us, as a travelling couple, there was some interruption from screaming children from time to time but wasn’t a major factor. British travellers will find food and beverage costs high, but this is more a reflection of Bahamas pricing than the specific hotel. $15 for a freshly squeezed orange juice for example. Main complaint is that neither the hotel nor Expedia make you aware before you arrive there is a 12 storey extension to the hotel being built about 200 metres from the pool. We had a fair amount of construction noise. Had I known this was there I wouldn’t have booked this hotel. Be aware they will also offer you all sorts of free meals and transport to get you to sit through a sales experience to try and upsell you opportunities to invest in the property.
