Location is key!

I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Munich.

Liked:The location is excellent, as you are within walking distance of virtually everything. The lobby was a very pleasant surprise: spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortable both for relaxing and for working. Right next to the lobby, there is a lovely bar open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and the staff also serve guests who are sitting in the lobby area. The hotel is clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and overall I had a wonderful stay.

Disliked:The only downside is that the standard rooms are quite small and sometimes noisy (despite the fact I was on the 5th floor).

Excellent service and comfortable hotel

Liked:Throughout our 5 night stay, we experienced friendly, helpful staff and amazing service. We loved the Josefa cafe / bar which was very welcoming, and spent a lot of time there each evening after returning from a restaurant in Munich. The whole area downstairs near reception felt comfortable and welcoming. The hotel has successfully balanced quality with comfort and the result is a place that offers luxury and excellent service without being superficial and arrogant. We were very surprised one day to return to our room to find that a cake and strawberries had been left for my partner whose birthday it was that day. There was also a voucher for 2 glasses of champagne. This was an incredibly thoughtful and unexpected gift and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the person / people who organised this. The room was very comfortable and the hotel quiet.

Disliked:There was nothing we didn't like, but if we were to make suggestions for improvements, it would be to offer a greater choice to vegetarians at breakfast. We are both vegetarian and €27 seemed expensive for eggs, bread and a bit of cheese. The room was not as ornately decorated as expected and the decor slightly uninspiring with few pictures or colour. But as stated above, we were very comfortable there which is the main thing.
