Disaster. Lack of Empathy. Ruined my Honeymoon

Liked:6 months later and I’m still seeing the exact same issues with this hotel. I have yet to be refunded even the parking fee. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but our experience with Armon Plaza Montreal Airport was bad enough that I feel compelled to warn others. We left our Toyota in the hotel’s “secure” parking lot while on our honeymoon. We filled out all required forms, placed the sticker on the dash, and parked in a well-lit spot. The front desk assured us the gate would close at night and the lot was monitored. We returned a week later to find our car stolen—just 4.5 hours into the second night of our trip. The front desk staff showed no empathy, simply pointed to a sign that they’re not liable, and told us to call the police. When we asked about cameras, they said only police could access them, and one clerk admitted the gate is never actually closed at night—contrary to what they told us. So much for a “secure” lot. The room was also subpar—dirty windows, poor A/C—but we were too overwhelmed to deal with that too. The next day, we spoke with a manager, Jean-Michel, who was dismissive, unhelpful, and physically imposing. He refused to refund even the $75 weekly parking fee, despite the fact that: Our car was stolen 4.5 hours into the second night, and one night should have been free as we paid to stay there. The lot was never actually secured We weren’t asking for anything else He also refused to give contact info for higher management. This hotel isn’t just lacking security—it’s lacking basic customer service and accountability. If you’re planning to leave your car here, especially if you drive a Toyota (theft of these is common in Montreal, per police), think twice. This place will do nothing to help you if something goes wrong. For similar money, you can find a hotel that believes in security and cleanliness. Truly the most disgusting and disappointing experience. See attached photos for evidence of the supposed secure lot, taken at 1 AM.

Ignore old reviews! March 2026 = It’s newly renovated. See my photos!

Liked:I was nervous having read old reviews for this hotel. But it’s newly renovated and my room on the 6th floor is brand new! Spotlessly clean. New floor. Lovely new bathroom with magnifying mirror built into the massive main mirror. Lots of lighting options bedroom and bathroom. And at 4pm this afternoon it’s silent. No noise problems so far. I will update my review if that changes. But so far so good! And I’ll try the airport shuttle tomorrow. Fingers crossed! :)

Do not park your car here!!!

Liked:We stayed one night here before flying south and took advance of the Park n Fly option where we parked our car in the secure lot located behind the hotel for the duration of our one week trip. We paid for use of an anti theft device to secure the steering wheel. Unfortunately the car was stolen (inside job?) and after many hours of filing a police report and insurance claim, we had to find our own way back to Ottawa. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Stolen car from lot - do not do the Park, Sleep Fly!

Liked:Returned from a week’s vacation to discover our car was stolen from their lot. No apologies given. Not even sure they will cover our room’s cost for the night (I argued this is the least they can do; they said they aren’t sure they can fully cover it. They charged our card and now we wait and see. We’re sort of stuck given the car was stolen off their lot but it would have been nice form them to have made things a little easier on us after a long day, given the circumstances.
