Glamping at its best!

Liked:This was our first glamping experience. We were so impressed with Under Canvas! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The setup of the camp and available amenities were fantastic as was the location, so close to Arches, Moab, and Canyonlands. We definitely want to try some of their other locations!

I vote NO!

Liked:During the summer months, A/C or full time misting system should be provided at this location. The tents get very hot during the day. Although there is a very small misting system available, it provides little relief and it is shut off at nightfall. Small batter powered fans are available but do not last all night and provide minimal relief from the heat. It is very difficult to shower, since one must pull down and hang on to a pull that allows water to come out. Water is either cold or scalding. The website states that Moab location has breakfast, so we booked the breakfast rate. Upon arrival we were informed that they do not provide breakfast. The noise level was horrible from the nearby road and trains. It seemed as though we were in the city. It was not relaxing. We booked a 2 day stay but left after one day without a refund. We will never stay at another Under Canvas. I have no idea how they receive the ratings that they have….it was NOT a good experience.

Very Expensive Camping Cosplay

Liked:⭐☆☆☆☆ The entire experience is ridiculous. This is marketed and priced as a luxury glamping destination, but the reality is closer to camping in a roadside lot. At over $800 per night, I expected a unique desert retreat. Instead, I spent the night listening to constant truck traffic from the nearby highway. The property is not remotely located. Major power lines run directly past the site, and there is a Chevron just up the road. Yet the tents have no electricity—not because of any environmental limitation, but because the property appears committed to camping cosplay. The same applies to the shower setup. This is not an off-grid destination where water must be conserved or trucked in. The property is connected to city water, so the camping-style shower experience feels more like theater than authenticity. The discomfort is largely manufactured. Temperatures remained near 100°F in the evening, yet the misting systems were shut off around 8 PM when guests still needed them most. During the day, there is very little usable shade anywhere on the property. The beds were also unnecessarily uncomfortable. Once again, management seems to have prioritized the appearance of camping over guest comfort. There is no reason an $800-per-night property should be using mattresses that feel this cheap. The biggest issue, however, is the noise. Highway traffic and trucks were loud throughout the night. This is not a peaceful desert retreat. It is a tent next to a truck route. What makes all of this especially frustrating is that there are genuinely extraordinary places nearby. For less money, I could have stayed at Red Cliffs Lodge on the Colorado River and enjoyed an actual destination property with real amenities and a remarkable setting. The website and photos sell an experience that simply does not match reality. The staff were friendly and did their best, but they cannot overcome the fundamental problems with the property itself. I've slept in tents in war zones where people were doing everything possible to make the experience more comfortable. Here, I paid over $800 per night for people to intentionally make the experience less comfortable in service of a luxury camping fantasy. That's the part I find hardest to understand.
