Transitioning (ex Green Acres) Motel, decent stop over

Liked:Location right on the highway and close to a large park across the road. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Good hot water and pressure for showering. Comfortable room temperature. Clean room, carpets, bedding and pillows. No traffic noise. No room odours. Reasonably safe area.

Disliked:Interiors were a bit tired looking, particularly the bathroom. 'Hotel' in the name is quite ambitious whereas 'Inn' may have been more accurate- there were renovations going on so hopefully that all improves. The entrance signage still is for the (prior) Green Acres Motel, which if you're unfamiliar with the area can be confusing navigating to. I would stay again just to see how much they improve it all.

Cushy price... Cushy toilet seat

Liked:I liked that it was there

Disliked:We were given a free upgrade then it was taken away by the time we got there. They double booked us and gave the other people the good room. Oh and the toilet seats have those cushion seats that soak other people's pees in them... Gross

Hoping their renovations go well and they are able to improve the quality of the property.

Liked:The location was convenient for what we planned to do during our stay. It smelled clean.

Disliked:There were little shards of plastic on the carpet by the window, unsure from what. There was a bit of dark mold in some areas of the shower. The woman working the reception desk was not pleasant at all. She did not greet us, did not even smile. The next day at check out there was another woman who seemed to possibly be the owner or manager and she was very kind and welcoming. They are in the middle of renovations to update the very dated motel, and she was kind and apologetic of the state of the place.

It was okay according to the price paid.

Liked:Everything was good and the lady at reception is very sweet. I like her way of dealing with visitors.

Disliked:Mmmmm.. firstly, the name should be changed from Toronto Lakeshore Hotel because its Green Acres Motel. I found it difficult to find as i was looking for the name- Toronto Lakeshore Hotel. I went to this motel to confirm because it location address was same. Secondly, there should be atleast a box of tissue papers.
