Avoid and find another place, hot tub, pool bathroom/showers failed.

Liked:This place has been a very disappointing Vaction Jan-Feb, room is great, amenities/maintenance is horrible, only 1 hot tub working, the other has been down 3 times with it still down over 2 weeks. The pool was scheduled Nov-Dec to be done and we are in Feb with no true date given. Then the elevator for floor 14 would not work, the button failed for over a week, now they just took both bathrooms and showers down. This place needs to have some serious maintenance done. I would avoid as many people here have canceled or are saying they will not return as every year there have been pool, hot tub issues.

Liked:Absolutely awful stay. Front desk staff should be fired—rude, miserable, and clearly hate their jobs. We waited over an hour past the 4pm check-in for dirty rooms, and this happened to others too. Bathroom was tiny (3x3 ft) with no ventilation, shower drained horribly—we stood in pooled water daily. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner weren’t filled all the way. We got 6 towels and 2 trash bags for 4 adults staying 5 nights; no replacements, no room service, no help. Bring your own water, there’s no fountains and ice costs quarters. There’s a singular washer and dryer unit for over 300 rooms, and they tell you to wash towels yourselves, which also requires quarters. Codes for the gates they gave us for beach/ bar/ building access worked maybe 1 out of 12 times. Wi-Fi constantly cut out. Our room faced the tennis courts in the very back of the building, nowhere near what was advertised. Staff stayed glued to their phones and acted annoyed if you asked anything. When we questioned the lack of basic amenities, we were told, “So this is a resort, not a hotel. That’s why we don’t provide all of the hotel services.” I personally don’t think they truly understand the difference between a vacation resort and a hotel, but I digress. Book elsewhere. And overhaul the entire staff if you expect returning customers or decent reviews.

Not thrilled

Liked:The wait for elevators is atrocious. I cannot believe the fire codes would allow only TWO elevators for a 16 story condo. All day yesterday one of the two was out of service!!!

25 years makes a difference

Liked:We stayed here on our honeymoon in 1998. Returned to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It’s not as good as it was in 98. The vacasa rental company is not good. They had about 10 people ready to mutiny on the Sunday afternoon of checkin because of lack of customer service. The condo was nice but the small things were overlooked (kitchen utensils, tv remote batteries, light bulbs out, etc) Free beach service is nice but you’re a 2nd class citizen. Owners get the front row and are mostly not present. So too many umbrellas make for a crowded beach with no one there and you’re on the 2nd or 3rd row and can’t see the ocean because of their empty umbrellas
