Pleasant enough stay but poor service from desk clerk means we won’t stay again.

Liked:Our room was bright, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was adequate. Checking was pleasant and most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked:We were staying because our furnace died and our house was freezing. It didn’t get repaired as expected so on Monday night I asked if we could extend our reservation. We were told we couldn’t because it was through Booking.com. I asked if there was any other way. The clerk said the system told him our room wasn’t available for Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Since there were 4 people at breakfast that morning I knew the hotel was at least half empty and the clerk apparently didn’t like my comments and took them personally. I apologized but was shocked that he found no space available for us. He basically did nothing. I made arrangements with a different hotel and don’t plan to stay at this hotel again.
