Not coming back

Liked:Spend your money elsewhere. You get nickled and dined here. $30/night to SELF PARK. $60/night for resort fees and all that got us was access to bikes. They tried to charge us $50 to cancel our dinner in the hotel. And to do room service they charge you a service fee and delivery fee! Petty and greedy was my takeaway.

Wonderful, as always

Liked:We spent the long weekend at the JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa with our kids and parents and had such a lovely stay, as always. We’ve been coming around this same time over the years for well over a decade and it’s become one of those family traditions we all look forward to. This visit was especially meaningful because we were celebrating our son’s upcoming graduation and the team went out of their way to make it feel special. We were welcomed with treats in our suite and surprised again during meals at the restaurants with thoughtful touches throughout the weekend. It was incredibly kind and so appreciated. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful and just so serene. There’s such a nice balance of relaxation and fun. We really enjoyed all the programming and amenities. The birds of prey experience and the pontoon boat tour were highlights for us and we were hoping to squeeze in some of the art classes too but ran out of time. The kids also loved taking advantage of the inflatables and activities around the resort. Our two-bedroom suite was expansive, luxurious, clean and had fantastic views of the grounds and Lake Rosseau. We made breakfast in the room but enjoyed the restaurants, food, and entertainment throughout the day. The staff are what make the experience so memorable year after year. The only thing we were disappointed to miss was canoeing/kayaking/paddleboarding and lounging by the beach. In past years those activities were available during the May long weekend, but we understand the water was still too cold this year and staff mentioned they would be opening in June. A thank you to everyone who made our stay extra special: April, Kabir, Jesus, Amila, Dharren, Allan, Annika, Gianna, Brandon, Zoe, Edgarood, Princess, Lekhan, Amandeep and Sheena. Jesus somehow seemed to be everywhere at once: always friendly and helpful. I've missed a few but everyone was wonderful. Overall, it was another wonderful family weekend at a place that’s become really special to us over the years.
