Convenient to public transport

Liked:Excellent breakfast buffet. Very helpful housekeeping staff.
Disliked:The room was pretty small, and - as I was staying for a week - I regretted the absence of a chest of drawers. I could not unpack fully, and had to use my case as a set of drawers.

Ok, but had issues

Liked:The hotel is new, clean and the staff friendly. We were able to check in earlier, which was nice.
Disliked:The shower is not great, it kept shooting out bursts of freezing water. Breakfast was quite busy and it looked like they were not keeping up as everything there was something missing. I also asked them to freeze an ice pack for me, as I’m travelling with medication that must be kept cold. Although they promised to handle it, they returned it to me the next day barely chilled. As there was no mini-bar in the room, I had no choice but to rely on them, and their failure to follow through was a major issue.

Horrible stay. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Liked:Pros: -Cheap price…but you get what you pay for. -The staff were nice (only reason for the 2 out f 10, everything else was 0/10) -Cafe in the lobby with cheap cappuccinos That’s it. I was racking my brain trying to think of more positives but couldn’t. Not only will I never stay at this hotel again, I probably won’t stay at an Ibis hotel again if this is the quality of their hotels. BTW, I never give mad reviews like this. I am a total “go with the flow” type of guy. We were out all day at Olympic events or exploring the city so I really just needed a place to sleep, shower, and watch the news/highlights at the end of the day and this hotel couldn’t even deliver that. If had been only a single thing off or wrong, no big deal but it was just one thing after another that was broken or didn’t work properly. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Disliked:Cons: -The location is bad, you are not close to any metro station. -The room is small and very basic. A desk, chair, phone, 6 shelves, 5 hangers, and a small safe that is not usable for bigger items you would want to keep safe like a laptop or iPad. No mini fridge, no coffee maker, no reasonable amount of storage. -The mattress is not a real mattress. It is just a pad on top of “boxspring.” It was a very uncomfortable and bumpy sleep for 6 days. -The toilet and bathroom made a hissing sound. We had to keep the door closed the whole time to not hear it. -Non existent sound proofing. You can hear every noise inside the hotel: every door slam, every sneeze of your fellow guests, and every time the maid slammed the vacuum against the wall. You can hear every outside noise like car honking and loud people in the middle of the night. We were at the end of the hall on the 7th floor hoping for a quiet room and that didn’t happen. -Weird TV that would glitch out as the day went on to where it was unwatchable by nighttime. I know I shouldn’t complain about the TV but at the end of the day you want to watch TV and even after complaining to the front staff it did not get better. -Internet didn’t work with my booking information. I had to take my computer down and show receptions I wasn’t stupid and they reluctantly gave me and access code that did work. -We put the DND sign on and everyday they would still knock on the door. What if we were jet lagged, sick, or hungover and just wanted to sleep and the knocking woke us up? -Inconsistent water temperature in the shower was really annoying. -One entrance is closed near where a security guard is standing 24 hours a day so I don’t understand why they can’t open up both entrances. -A very uncomfortable desk chair with holes by your thighs. The person that made this chair, bought this chair, and put this chair into the room obviously never sat in it.
