Only location was good and the swimming pool.

Liked:The location close to the beach was good, the pool nice but there were only two sun loungers. It was also close to Royal Stables for beach riding

Disliked:The beds had only one sheet over the mattess? there was no light duvet or blanket (which we found in every other hotel on Zanzibar) and it was windy and some people feel the cold. They had pets and one of the dogs was in pain and no one did anything about it. Apparently the owners are Spanish (so they should know better) and were away so the dog got no care. That was frankly awful to see. The room was noisy - right behind the football pitch and also the generator which was needed most of the time. One of the beds felt like it was going to collapse! It was not secure and moved and it also creaked so every time you moved it woke you up. The staff were nice enough but they couldn't do much. This is the fault of the owners

My stay was decent. I chose to stay, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Liked:The location was great for beach access. It was a really nice community set up of bungalows. Quiet.

Disliked:The generators not being turned on when the power went out. The fan in my room barely worked making my stay uncomfortable. The room and bathroom needed freshening up.

Highly recommended

Liked:We spent an unforgettable week here with our family. Staying at Mpole Bungalows felt like visiting friends at their countryside home — warm, relaxed, and very genuine. The value for money is excellent; what you get truly exceeds expectations. A note for anyone packing: be sure to bring a mosquito fumigator with you. There is nowhere to buy one nearby, and there are quite a lot of them. The restaurant at the hotel is delicious, and the entire team works very hard to make guests feel comfortable. This is a place where you really rest — both physically and mentally.

Disliked:Nothing
