Liked:We are in love, we loved our 5 nights at Amani and will miss this place a lot. We want to thank the staff especially our chef Adam, we had so many lovely vegan food they tried their best to make us happy. Also Sir Said, Ms.Sicilia, Ms. Glory and lovely girls who cooked amazing food for us Ms. Mary, Ms.Juliana and Ms.Aika… Thank you for your smiles and warmth towards us. They have the cutest dogs Prince, King and Princess we loves petting them :) The whole place was so clean and neat. Such a lovely peaceful place with lovely staff. Thank you for everything you made our trip flawless🤍

Unfortunately a disappointing experience

Liked:Spacious villas, each has a small private pool, there are only four villas.

Disliked:The interior of the villas appears somewhat worn and dated: with more consistent upkeep, the spaces could feel much fresher, especially since there were quite a few staff members around, but they often seemed unsupervised and disengaged, spending time chatting or relaxing in guest areas. It might be helpful for management to provide more direction to ensure staff remain attentive and productive and that time and energy are redirected towards useful activities: eg: maintenance, general upkeep and deep cleaning. The floors don’t get cleaned. I stayed four nights, and they never changed the towels. No body lotion provided. There are no hangers/hanging space in the closet. The daily set menu is limited and identical for lunch and dinner, which can feel repetitive for guests on full board. Some dishes were enjoyable, while the fish was consistently overcooked. I’ve stayed at several other hotels in Zanzibar in similar price range where the service and attention to detail felt much higher. Given the price point here, I expected a similar level of care and hospitality, but this property didn’t quite meet those expectations. At the three other hotels I stayed at previously, power outages were never an issue. However, at this property, the electricity went off frequently throughout my stay. I raised the concern with staff, but it wasn’t resolved. At this price point, I would have expected the hotel to have a reliable backup generator. Even though I had booked full board, apparently the desserts weren’t included (which was never mentioned to me when they were offered), and I was surprised by a quite high charge at checkout for the two (very average) desserts I had over the course of my 5-day full board stay.

Wow! Just Wow!

Liked:It was really amazing! The whole team made our stay absolutely unforgettable! And special thanks to the chef - all our meals were delicious, and he managed to cope with our bunch of allergies. At first the choice seemed limited, but they always have some cards up their sleeves - literally: you choose your lunch and dinner dishes from several positions on the card. And they had different cards for all our stay. The villa and the territory was always impeccably clean. The view from the rooftop terrace is beautiful. And yes, there was a telescope - a basic one, so I had some hard times setting it up, but quite enough to watch the lunar eclipse (lucky us). There are three dogs. We are cat persons, but we really loved them - they are so cute and well-behaved!

Disliked:Wifi is very weak in the room - you have to go outside to download something. Must be bad repeater positioning. The aircon is too weak for such a room, and there are no glasses in the windows in the "living room" part of the villa - only mosquito nets. So it gave more noise and light (alas, the temperature indicator cannot be switched off) than cold. Luckily, in the beginning of September the nights are cool, so we could sleep without it. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. The beach is not far away, but the road to can be more comfortable. Hint: check the tide chart before booking if you want to swim in the sea. You can swim comfortably when water level is 2.5 m or more above the minimum. Bring the coral shoes - there are lots of corals on the bottom.
