Unbelievably bad experience

Liked:I booked a suite months in advance. Was here with family to drop off my daughter starting U Miami. Had initially booked for 3 nights and with a pet. We decided a few days prior to arrival that we will not fly our pet all the way from Indiana to Florida. 1. Call and message the hotel on the day of check in. Can we please get a LITTLE earlier check in. Our flight landed at 8 am. I did not expect them to give me a room that early. Didn’t not get room till 3 pm. Fine it is what is it. Was waiting in the lobby area for 3 hours. Zachary took my number and said he would call. No one ever called. 2. Upon initial check in - told Zachary- we’re here for 2 nights and not traveling with a pet. He assures that the necessary changes have been made. 3. When we finally get room keys from a different front desk agent - I tell her again - we don’t have a pet and here for just two nights. She checks and tells me - the reservation is unchanged by Zachary and that she will make the necessary changes. 4. We wait and wait and wait for our luggage. Never arrives. Upon arrival- we were greeted by the valet. No self parking the only option is valet. So you would think they’ll be aware of hotel policies and will do a little hand holding since they are the only option when you drive in. I give them my last name, my phone number and my room number (since I had already done digital check in and was simply waiting for my digital keys). They tell me they will empty out the car and will deliver my bags to my room. Valet gives me my tag and off I go. I tell the bellman about my luggage as I am walking inside. The bellman tells me they got me. Again when I do the initial checkin with Zachary and another time when I actually get the room keys (after waiting 3 hours) - they both tell me luggage is taken care off. 5. So finally - when there is NO luggage in the room after a long wait - I am getting frustrated. I go to the front desk. This time some manager tells me that luggage won’t come to my room since I never gave the luggage to the bellman. Of course I would have had I not told by valet and the first front desk agent and the second front desk agent. I then physically had to walk to my car - take out the bags and then physically gave to the bellman. He then brought the bags up to the room. 6. After two nights - 830 am this morning, the housekeeper starts nonstop loud banging my door. We had to settle our daughter into her dorm and it basically took us the entire day. We were exhausted and were needing to sleep in very badly. I go to open the door and she tells me that she needs to service the room. I say - what service I am not staying over but rather checking out in a few hours. She tells me in her notes I’m here for three nights. Obviously I’m frustrated and tired. I tell her to please remind the front desk - for like the 4th time that I am here for two nights. She says she will. I go back and try and sleep but of course I’m a light sleeper and can simply not go back to bed. On a side note - why would you service a room at 830 in the morning- specially if the guest is not checking out. 7. I finally decide to get ready and walk down with 5 large bags and check out. Of course - no one did jack shi*. The front desk is surprised that I’m checking out after two night and not staying for a third night. I explain EVERYTHING again. She tells me everything is fine and she will make the necessary changes. Will take out pet fee and not charge you for a third night. At this point I am not trusting these people. I tell her - check me out now and give me the final receipt in hand. She complies. Phew. I’m in a rush - I fold the receipt and take off. 8. I’m sitting at the airport waiting on my flight. Also booking my next HILTON hotel reservation as I travel - 50-100 nights a year - of course have the Diamond Hhonors as well as titanium elite from bonvoy. 9. To my surprise- I open the app. I am STILL CHECKED IN. I look at the final bill she gave me earlier and the pet fee still remains. I am LIVID. Had I not opened the app to book another stay they would have definitely charged me for a third night. I chat with the robot ai agent. They tell me they’ve fixed. Lord knows. I will dispute my CC and am truly contemplating taking my business to IHG and Marriott and finally saying goodbye to Honors. They’ve let me down quite a bit this year. This property however takes the cake. Basically NO ONE from the staff was willing to work or put in any effort door that matter. Stay away - much nicer options elsewhere. This property needs a renovation anyways and a staffing overhaul. I RARELY post. Was compelled to this time.
