Cleanliness and Access may be an Issue

Liked:First impression of this hotel was great. Loved the lobby and generally really like Westin Hotels. Here's the overall: Lobby: Nice and open. Staff at front desk was great as was Valet Room: We were upgraded as my husband is a Bonvoy Elite. First impression of the room was great. Then, when walking barefoot, I stepped on several things on the carpet indicating that it needed to be vacuumed. That grossed me out. Then I saw hairs in the shower and on the floor in the restroom. Ick. Bed: Was comfortable but pillow was lumpy. Access: Apparently Memphis PD closes roads later at night around the hotel due to people partying on Beale St. It was loud at night but we drove around the hotel for 45 minutes at 11:30 p.m. trying to get in to the hotel. PD finally moved barricades for us. It was frustrating as we were really tired from driving for a couple of hours

Fantastic Westin in Memphis

Liked:The Westin Memphis is literally just one block off of Beale Street and directly across from the FedEx Forum (where the Grizzlies play). As most Westin hotels, this is a tremendous hotel and property: very clean, updated, a large spacious bar/social area and plenty of room throughout. And the hotel is a reflection of the great staff that works there. From the front desk staff to the bartenders, everyone could not have been more pleasant. And I have to give a shout out to Group Sales Manager Deon Smith who leads from the front and ensured daily that my stay was perfect. Deon treated every guest like they were a VIP. Thanks for a fantastic stay, Deon! If you visit Memphis, I HIGHLY recommend staying at the best hotel in town, The Westin Memphis Beale Street.

Points if Memphis music

Liked:The hotel was great. Awesome location. Breakfast served everyday and was excellent. Lots of choices. The focus of this review was the two guided trips to Graceland and Memphis musical heritage. Our guide was Austin. He is a transplant to Memphis but don’t kid yourself he is a true Memphis music man. His tours were insightful entertaining and full of culture He offered insights into Graceland. Sun records and stax records company. He was witty and kept your insight. He was a great tour guide. Do him a favor don’t always be the last one to get on the bus Cape cod guy
