Disliked:Upon arrival, we were told that we had to provide a deposit of 200,000 Colombian pesos in cash, as credit cards were not accepted for deposits. When we explained that we did not have enough cash, the hotel offered to exchange our euros for Colombian pesos. A few hours later, our friends arrived and were allowed to provide their deposit by credit card, which was confusing and inconsistent with what we had been told. When we checked out, we requested the return of our deposit, but the staff could not find any record of our cash payment. We were kept waiting for approximately 15 minutes while they investigated the issue, despite the fact that we had already called a taxi to the airport. Overall, we were disappointed by the experience. We were effectively required to exchange money, presumably at a profit for the hotel, and then had to wait to recover our deposit due to their poor record-keeping. This is not the level of service we would expect from a five-star hotel.
