Guest Reviews

What Guests Say

10.0

Exceptional

1,836 reviews

Highlights

+Convenient location near the centre
+Friendly and mostly helpful staff
+Large rooms and comfortable beds
+Good breakfast and suitable for overnight/transit stays
+Generally good price for room + breakfast

Could Improve

–High/expensive parking fees (€20) and limited parking availability
–Occasional cleanliness failures (dirty carpets, rooms not cleaned, missing towels/water)
–Air-conditioning problems in some rooms
–Some maintenance issues (broken locks, TV hanging, limited luggage space)
–No minibar or cooling option in some rooms

Cleanliness7.2

Mixed reports: several reviews praise very clean rooms, but multiple serious complaints (strongly soiled carpets, rooms not cleaned, missing bottled water and towels) reduce score.

Service9.0

Generally friendly and helpful staff noted in many reviews, though a few incidents (reception not resolving AC problems, rigid check-in handling) were reported; overall staff friendliness is a strong point.

Location9.0

Consistently positive: multiple guests cite close proximity to the centre and convenient location for short stays.

Room Quality8.4

Rooms described as large, comfortable beds and good showers for overnight stays, but some issues mentioned (creaky bed, broken door lock, limited luggage space, TV hanging) make this slightly above average.

Amenities7.1

Notable negatives: expensive and limited parking, AC malfunctions, no minibar or cooling option in some rooms; these amenity gaps lower the score despite basic provision.

Value for Money8.6

Many guests state the overnight price (with breakfast) is good and recommendable for transit stays; parking fees reduce perceived value somewhat but base room value is positive.

Food and Beverage8.8

Breakfast generally praised (described as phenomenal, international, or adequate); a few find it average for the price but overall sentiment is positive.

Overall Experience8.3

Balanced overall: many repeat guests and recommendations contrasted with several disappointing operational issues (parking, cleanliness, AC). Average experience aligns with the target rating.

Usual Premier Inn standards

Liked:A comfortable, functional hotel that's quiet, friendly and with all the usual Premier Inn features. Good value as well out of season.

Another great stay

Liked:We often regularly travel back to Maidstone to visit family and friends. And this has now become our preferred place to stay. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, there was a very nice chap on reception all weekend and the manager is lovely. Also Carol in the adjoining Beefeater is wonderful. The room was very clean , comfy bed and hotel, although busy, was very quiet. The breakfasts were good , especially on the Saturday, our only criticism would be that Sundays was very slow service , but we could see that the staff were very busy indeed. Overall a very good stay and we will be back soon , thank you.

Calm and relaxing

Liked:This was my first time here and I got to say what a lovely place, nice calm feel in a beautiful area. The bed was super comfortable which made me feel ready for the tasks ahead. But the real gems were the staff, Thank you so much for the services you provided. A lady called Carol made my last evening the best, she made me feel like I didn't have a worry in the world with how she took care of us. Breakfast served by Katie was fantastic and still continued to keep the calm relaxing presence and standard from the night before. Huge Thank you if I get the chance to come back I will. Definitely worth a visit.
