Excellent location for Madrid exploration

Liked:Excellent location on a busy pedestrian street with short walks to amazing sights and busy shopping. That was our most important feature and it delivered. Facilities are modern and room was a decent size with room to unpack for a 5 night stay. Breakfast was included which was unusual in our experience on this trip in the Madrid area. The options weren't all to our preferences but we found some tasty options every morning that got us off to a good start. Bed was huge and very comfortable.

Disliked:While the complimentary bottle of water was nice, it would have been good to have more than one given we stayed for 5 nights. The key cards were constantly failing and needing reprogramming. Seemed pretty expensive but in line with alternatives.

It’s overpriced. You pay for the great location. Everything else is average.

Disliked:Totally overpriced Rooms are very small, the wardrobe is small, the bathroom’s door is glass, next to the bed, so when you turn on the light at night it brightens the whole room (when your partner might be sleeping), also the bathroom lacks privacy in every possible sense. There is only one mirror (the one on the bedroom). The breakfast is average, definitely too expensive for the food offering and quality. The air conditioner looks like a very old system. In general the hotel does not feel like a boutique at all. Definitely not what we were expecting for the price we paid.
