Lovely, historic hotel in the center of town.

Liked:Staying in the Cravat takes you back in time 100 years (in a good way). The whole hotel has the feel of an early 20th Century luxury hotel. The lobby, the bar area (which is super cool), the rooms, the elevators, all make you feel like you're visiting in 1900. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast -- including the room it is served in -- is among the best you'll experience. Ask most employees how long they've worked there and the answer is "20 years." Numerous famous people have stayed in the hotel over the years. And the views are great, especially if you face toward the bridge area.

Disliked:There is no AC (aircon), so for hot summer days, it's open windows and, if you're lucky, a fan from the front desk (they don't have enough for every room though). The internet is a bit weak. Lastly, the shower tubs are very difficult to navigate. The tubs are rounded and can be quite slippery. For someone with a rounded bum sitting in the tub, I'm sure it's fine. :-) But for standing, it's a little scary. I'd be surprised if the hotel doesn't have slip-and-fall incident with some regularity. (Adding a metal handle bar on the wall might be helpful.) That said, I would stay here again.
