Great Location

Liked:The hotel is right across the street from the locks and next door to the Lockview Restaurant. That was very nice for dinner and breakfast. We did not eat at the hotel for breakfast because we wanted something more substantial, so I can't comment on the food. The only problems we had with the room were minor. They did not have an area, or a stand, that was big enough to open our suitcase. Also, there is limited shelf space in the bathroom. Additionally, don't expect to actually "view" the locks. On the positive side, they have a nice little set up of a table and two chair outside the room on the walkway. These are outside every room. It is a nice sitting area, but the view is really just the parking lot and the street. I would probably give the hotel a five-star review if they had an elevator. We were on the second floor, and I have some mobility problems, so that made things a little difficult, but we made it work. You just have to walk out of the parking lot, and you can see them and, as I said, they are right across the street, so they are a very easy walk. The "name brand hotels" in the Soo are nothing special. I have stayed in most of them for business. We decided to check out a "no name hotel" and we would definitely stay here again.
