In desperate need of renovation

Liked:I had booked this hotel for family. At the price I paid I had very much hoped for some level of luxury but there was none. The rooms are in need of extensive renovations - from the doors, to bathroom showers and floors, to every piece of furniture that is chipped and carpet that is just old (quaint only gets you so far before it's just looks like very used pieces). The only luxurious thing about the room was the mattress which is fantastic. I did also very much appreciate the staff who were very friendly and accommodating. Other than that - the hotel is definitely not value for money.

Stay Away!- Zero Customer Service Assistance

Liked:Stay Away! Not a customer centric hotel- very un-friendly! We booked 2 nights at the Highline, understanding that it was non-refundable. We too had a family emergency and are unable to keep those dates- so I tried to contact reservations to re-book at a later date. Unfortunately it is impossible to reach a human being to even discuss our situation and a potential re-booking. The cost is $1117 for 2 nights and it includes a "Facility Fee" of $83.14. It seems like if we do not keep our reservation and don't use any part of the hotel we should not be charged an exhorbitant "Facility Fee"! Don't bother trying to contact this hotel- 1. Email to Reservations- no response 2. Abby Rader, General Manager- email mailbox is full- can't contact her 3. Call and select "0" to talk to an operator- No Answer- tried 3 times! 4. Call and select "Current Guests" for assistance- No Answer In short- the lights are on, but nobody is home. This is a disgusting experience where we paid over $1,100 for a room and can't reach a human being on the phone or by email. Stay Away

Don’t expect to shower

Liked:This place has charm but our room didn’t have hot water. They had someone come fix it and extended our checkout time, which was nice. However, while the hot water got fixed, the drain would not drain and the water was yellow. It was gross. Also, the king size bed only came with two standard sized pillows which was odd. At least the people that work there are nice.
