I feel scammed

Disliked:This host kept 80£ from my security deposit for a remote control they allegedly couldn't find. I knew exactly where the remote control was and immediately informed the host, but they insisted on keeping the money regardless. Beyond that the TV was outdated and completely inoperable to begin with, with a real value of the entire set below 80£. The check-in process was tedious and impersonal and the arrival instructions were incomplete and confusing.

Disliked:They make you submit ID, even children! and pay a £200 security deposit even for one night, which I didn’t realise until after I booked it and it’s non refundable. They had no pillows for the sofa bed, the electricity at the kitchen sockets didn’t work, it tripped the electrical box then I’d turn it back on and it would trip again which mean the fridge wasn’t on at all, the microwave and kettle had to be moved to another plug at the table to work which is totally ridiculous. There was barely any utensils to use for cooking, no pot lids, no sieve for pots, so you definitely couldn’t stay there for longer than a few days as nothing to cook with. There was two pots and both were mouldy too which was disgusting. When we arrived, all four parking spaces on the drive were taken too and had to wait for someone to leave. There was little beasties in the shower/bath that was crawling around too. Wouldn’t recommend

Unsafe!! Do not book!!

Disliked:Avoid This Unsafe Property!!!! We paid for two nights but did not stay because we felt unsafe from the moment we arrived. There were several half-dressed men drinking and smoking directly outside the entrance to the building. They were repeatedly walking in and out of the apartment block, and the main entrance door was regularly left ajar, allowing anyone to enter. It did not feel like a secure or well-managed building. Inside the apartment, the locking system was inadequate and did little to provide any sense of security. We contacted the host immediately to explain our concerns, but they offered no practical assistance or reassurance. We then made the decision that it was not safe to stay. We also reported the situation to Booking.com, but we were disappointed with how our concerns were handled. Paying for accommodation that we could not safely use was extremely disappointing, and we had to arrange and pay for alternative accommodation at our own expense. I have included screenshots of Trustpilot reviews that are well worth reading before making a decision. If your priority is feeling safe and secure while travelling, I would strongly recommend choosing somewhere else.
