A great place to stay.

Liked:The rooms are unique and well designed. Everything is very comfortable and high quality. Bathrooms to high standard. Staff friendly and helpful.

Disliked:We have stayed here before and felt the food was better then. Dinner was good but breakfast was not so good the food was clearly reheated and the poached eggs were cold.

Our stay was very pleasant and we would come again.

Liked:The booking went well because the staff made sure I had an accessible room at short notice when it was a Bank Holiday. We came back much later than expected but the staff person on night duty helped us to get in. We liked the peace and quiet of the room. The bed was comfortable but a little narrow. The waiter in the dining room was polite and efficient. We were also relieved that parking was no problem.

Disliked:We were a bit surprised that the entrance was like a pub and came back out to look for reception and then realised we were in the right place but we obviously didn't see the sign. Unfortunately, we were too late to get an evening meal and hoped to get a quick snack at the bar but there were only crisps. The staff member did offer dessert but the wait was still too long. A pasty would have been good! Our grandson was playing in his band at Brownsword Hall. We were surprised that the staff hadn't heard of it even though it's in Poundbury

Wonderful stay in an excellent hotel

Liked:Excellent, clean room with a large comfortable bed, great bathroom and a wonderful view of Queen Mother Square! The hotel was very in keeping with the theme of Poundbury and nicely decorated. Lots of free and unrestricted parking in the area (no trouble at all!) and very helpful and pleasant staff.
