Convenient and affordable option for Salem day trip!

Liked:I loved how quiet it was and the location was so close to Salem for an affordable price. It’s also right next to the train station which helped us a ton since we traveled from Boston.

Disliked:I felt like there was a strong chemical/cleaner odor that came from the bathroom. There was also a lot of crumbs/ dirt on the floor and some in the bed. Other than that it was great!

Avoid the No-Human Reception.

Liked:Just no. It’s difficult because there are very few hotels in this particular area, and at first glance this place seems very quaint. Nope. That said, if you are ok with an absolutely no-contact inn, you might be fine with the meager, sort of clean accommodations. But the dishes were dirty and the (unused?) paper towels had brown spots, and then god forbid we needed an extra blanket (because you cannot control the thermostat whatsoever), and there is literally no one to call. Everything is completely virtual. This is not a hotel/motel. It’s a huge Airbnb. And the downstairs, where my elderly parents were staying, was creepy. We tried to get a hold of a human to switch rooms (even though several appeared empty) to no end. No human. Not impressed. Would not recommend and won’t be back.

Comfortable stay in Beverly

Liked:The Beverly was perfect for 2 women traveling with a few teenage girls. We used it as our base for visiting Salem. It was such a great location for not having a car. The train station is across the street, grocery store and restaurants an easy walk. We booked two double double suites. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The self check in and out was super easy. It rained while we were there and really appreciated the laundry facility. It’s not luxury so if you don’t go expecting that you will have a nice stay.
