Would definitely stay again

Liked:Big room, comfortable large bed, friendly staff, nice pub downstairs. Although we didn’t have it, the breakfast looked amazing. Next time we will stay for food.

Disliked:The shower screen over the bath isn’t quite wide enough so water splashes on the floor. It was also very hot in the room but then it was the hottest day of the year.

Absolutely terrible. No staff to help.

Disliked:A complete waste of money and one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. There are no staff at this hotel. We informed them in advance that we would be arriving late, yet they failed to mention that the A35 was completely closed, making the hotel literally inaccessible. We repeatedly called for help, but no one answered. With no alternative accommodation available, we were forced to sleep in our car after paying nearly £200 for a room we couldn’t even reach. The whole point of booking a hotel is because we’re not locals and rely on the property to communicate major access issues. Failing to warn guests about a full road closure is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we finally arrived at 7am, there were still no staff, and at checkout we waited 30 minutes at an empty reception before giving up, leaving the keys behind, and leaving.

Liked:Staff were excellent on arrival and throughout my stay . Tara and Meg were excellent. The good is lovely and never disappoints . Great breakfast on morning of leaving
