Liked:The hotel was average. For the price we paid, $980 for two nights, I expected more than average. You can hear everything, the walls are paper thin. The rooms are outdated. It is a good location and parking was nice. We did enjoy the balcony. However, if we were to come again, I would select a different hotel.

Liked:Trust the negative reviews. BEWARE: Ocean View Hotel Santa Monica is not a hotel you want to stay at. I repeat, do not book at this hotel. They steal your money when you are not looking. This hotel is dishonest. Do not trust Ocean View Hotel in Santa Monica. We booked a hotel room for 1 week and we were ripped off at Ocean View Hotel in Santa Monica. Please do not trust this hotel as they will steal your money. Also note the reviews about the bugs: ROACHES. You can find a much better hotel for your money, unless you want to take roaches home with you in your luggage and pockets of your clothes. TRUST the negative reviews of Ocean View Hotel - Santa Monica. Ocean View Hotel Staff please re-read every single negative review, including anything that may have happened at your hotel on 6/20/2026 as we were there and witnessed what you did to another hotel guest and how you treated her and it was absolutely disgusting how you treated her. Remember that what goes around comes around. Many people saw how you treated her, and you ought to be ashamed Ocean View Hotel Management and Staff.

Santa Monica Ocean View Great Customer service!

Liked:I booked I had a wonderful experience booking with my girlfriend at the Santa Monica Branch. Heidi, Alex, and Joy truly went above and beyond—they were so warm, friendly, and professional. The customer service was outstanding, and I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with them in the future. The hotel itself is spotless, ideally located, and offers the most breathtaking view of the beach. My girlfriend and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. A big thank you to the entire Team Santa Monica! Alex, I really appreciate you taking care of our car and parking. @Joy, your friendliness and warmth made us feel right at home. Loved the Oceanview

Liked:We booked this hotel last minute and have no regrets. The ocean view hotel was a great experience. We stayed one night while passing through Santa Monica. It is in a very convenient location to walk to many attractions, shopping and food. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly. Heidi and Emily checked us in and were very kinda and accommodating. We arrived early and were asking about parking and they got us in our room early so we had a place for our luggage while we went to explore. The Oceanview is definitely worth the stay. Incredible experience!
