Nice place, clean and good location - be wearing checking into the right room!

Liked:The apartment I paid for was eventually a nice, clean stay with good facilities, location and links for my work visit to the Excel. Nice balcony, facilties in the kitchen were useful and clean. Bedroom was warm and shower was clean and hot.

Disliked:Keys were not available on arrival. The host advised they had been accidentally left inside and arranged a spare. Key Safe staff (seperate) kindly helped me get the spare, took an hour to check in eventually so late with work. Misleading listing - I booked a private apartment with a private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen and hairdryer. The accommodation was actually a shared two-bedroom apartment with separately rented rooms and a shared toilet. There was no kitchen or hairdryer, only a kettle and mini fridge... clearly incorrect accomodation which I didnt pay for. The room did not match the listing photos. The host assured me I would be the only guest and that I would be safe and alone. The sheets had not been changed and were covered in hair, skin and eyelashes. I had to contact the host and wait two hours for a cleaner to return. On returning at 7 pm, the flat stank of w**d. The host suggested it was coming from a neighbour. At 3 am, a male guest entered the flat and checked into the second room. This was frightening and uncomfortable, particularly as I had booked private accommodation and had been assured I would be alone. I checked out immediately. Hours later, the host relocated me to what they described as a nicer three-bedroom Airbnb as a favour. However, this was actually the room shown in the original listing, so basically I had initially been given accommodation that did not match what I paid for. overall the stay was misleading, inconvenient and tiring given i had come for work and paid for something which i had hassle to finally get. The repeated issues caused significant disruption, fatigue and lost time during a work trip when I had long days and substantial work commitments. the final place itself was good, just be vigilant.

Excellent location just a few bits that werent what we expected

Liked:Location perfect for Excel - bed was very comfortable and the scenery was incredible. Nice towels and bathroom good layout of the room. Queries we had were answered promptly.

Disliked:Someone had used the toilet before we arrived and not flushed to chain. It stated kettle and kitchen area (we assumed wrongly) there would be tea coffee, milk etc but nothing. The kitchen "area" did have a fridge and microwave but there was only one mug, a couple of plates, knives but no forks. We werent really interested in the kitchen utensils. However, think it should be make clear that yes there was a kettle but no tea or coffee included

Convenient location but everything else kinda sucks

Liked:It was very close to the EcXel so its great for when you arend a conference there. The AC was very good and quiet. They provided a couple cups and cutlery with a tea towel. The towels were nice and the TV gad a bunch of options like Netflix and BBC iPlayer.

Disliked:The bathroom was separate from the room, so I had to cross the communal hallway every time. My room door didn’t have a dead bolt or any extra lock besides the simple turn key. There was no information whatsoever in the room, you have to screen shot all the check in information they sent you before because the wifi info etc is not in the room. The microwave was in the wardrobe and there was no place to plug it in, so I had to place it on the floor somewhere to be able to plug it in. There is one window that opens, but it doesn’t close. The worst part tbh was that the address that’s given is for the apartment, but you have to pick up the key at another place, and there is no address for that place, you are just given pictures and a description, I felt like I was on a scavenger hunt (with a heavy backpack). I reached out for clarification, in Booking messages, never heard back.

Wouldn’t ever stay again.

Liked:Central location for excel.

Disliked:Felt very unsafe. Set up was multiple rooms within 1 property, groups in other rooms using drugs, being loud, very intimidating. Check in process very clunky and was difficult to sort. Wouldn’t ever stay again. Ended up booking another property for the night.
