Mostly thumbs up on Tivoli

Liked:We arrived late, 9:30 by train. Super convenient to walk to from the train platform. This was the reason we chose to stay at the Tivoli. Night staff upgraded us to a suite. Very much appreciated the extra space as we repacked everything for our flight the next morning and the extra room made it easier. The room was quite and comfortable. Good black out curtains although they never worked with the switch on the wall.
Disliked:We werent told we needed to use our room key to activate the elevator. Could understand why the elevator wouldnt respond. Another guest helped us. Only one elevator seemed to work at all. We waited and waited for it an elevator and finally used the stairs to access our paid for breakfast. The room didnt come with breakfast included. We did buy the breakfast brunch which was very nice and had all kinds of options. The bed side table was not clean. Sticky residue like a juice had spilled and not been cleaned up. But when we discovered that and stain on the floor we were already exhausted and went to bed. It did make us wonder what else wasnt clean. Alerting the front desk personal in the morning to this needing attention there was NO apology and my husband was told to contact a phone number on a card they gave him. We were suppose to report the stain and table top mess. We ddint...it might still be there. Oh well.

Lovely hotel in close proximity to train, bus and metro.

Liked:We stay here regularly before flying out of Lisbon. The location close to the train, bus and metro are a big reason, but the hotel is lovely and never disappoints.
