Liked:The staff was very friendly loved it to pieces.

Disliked:I had two issues first one my reservation to two staff members to locate fix and get me going while they’re doing that. Another couple came in got their key and left while I’m still waiting. Second issue my room smell like old perfume musty but since I was there for a day, I endured it

Do you want to have a large event, not have to pay for an event space, no restrictions on food, beverages or noise?

Liked:Do you want to have a large event, not have to pay for an event space, no restrictions on food, beverages or noise? This is the place to go! We stayed 3 nights, Thursday-Sunday, July 23-26, 2026. On Friday a large group (~200) of soccer players and their families checked in. They proceeded to take over the entire lobby and surrounding public spaces for 2 days. They brought in outside food and set it up on tables in the lobby and camped out for hours. The kids were running around yelling and singing ( in the halls where the guest rooms were as well). The parents were sitting and drinking and doing nothing to stop it. The hotel did nothing to stop it. At 10pm when I went to the front desk to ask how long they were going to allow this to continue, I was told other guests had checked out of the hotel because of the spectacle ( the front desks girls were fed up as well but were told to do nothing). I called and spoke to the manager after our stay to complain. I was told they don’t restrict guest access to open spaces, even if it bothered other guests. So, don’t spend your money on a private space that allows you and your guests to have fun without infringing on the enjoyment of others when you can rent a cheap room, invite your friends, family and co workers, and have a grand party with no consequences, because The Griffin Gate doesn’t care!

Pricey with pet fees but met our needs

Liked:Location, dog friendly, pool and amenities

Disliked:Pet fee per dog put the stay over $500 which is too high for the value. Need to lower the fee for 2 dogs. Cleaning doesn’t cost that much. Hosts seemed confused about complimentary breakfast. Also requested first floor and got the 4th. Age of the building shows. Hallways and elevators need updated.
