Perfect spot to hoop in pool, go to beach, or go to whalers village

Liked:Perfect location!! Not high rise resort like all the others around if had character and was so peaceful and beautiful

Disliked:Rooms are dated with the flooring and bathrooms. Breakfast buffet was soooo expensive and other breakfast place was under construction

Beautiful

Liked:The property is lovely, and a very nice location. The staff is nice and the food is decent. Breakfast is amazing.

Disliked:The only thing that I feel truly needs to be improved, are the chair situations by the pool. The sun is extremely hard there and shade is very hard to find. I get that they want to sell chairs but it’s so competitive, it’s become insane. They have no system to monitor people abusing the chairs. We have to get up at 6am to get shade. Every day we noticed people would leave their things on chairs and literally never come back and there was no checks and balances on that. When we’re talked to staff about that, they were like oh well. Nothing we can do about it. When people are paying $600 a day, you need to find a solution. Because of this alone, we are switching to the Hyatt for all future trips.

Needs a review - urgently

Liked:Hawaii is expensive, I get that but this hotel seemed to want to take it to a new extreme! Having booked 4 nights at an extortionate, though highly discounted, price, we were stung with an additional charge of 60 dollars per night that was for services such as internet - items that most would consider as standard! When we challenged this we were told it was a mandatory charge - raising the question why it wasn’t already in the price?! Then matters got worse. After checking in we were told that the electricity in our block would be off until 1500. That seemed fine as it was less than an hour and we were granted a 50 dollar discount. To cut a long story short the power returned at 1730 and despite the manager granting a further discount, the damage was done. The room was fine, though the balcony was hardly worthy of the name. The restaurants were being refreshed so we had to play hunt the breakfast in the morning. We tried the overpriced restaurant on site but least said the better on both food and service. The hotel needs a total overhaul, focused around guest experience rather than pure profit.
