Comfortable, relaxing and rejuvenating !

Liked:Iconic old style building with modern facilities! Good food and very friendly staff! The spa is huge and very well maintained !

Disliked:Location wasn’t good ! View was bad! Some fittings are very old. There was some confusion about the club facility ! It’s some kjnd of a bhul bhulaiya to traverse the hotel but that was fun!

Liked:We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. Rooms: The rooms were excellent, with all the amenities expected of a five-star hotel. Swimming Pool: We really enjoyed the swimming pool—it was well-maintained and relaxing. Breakfast: The breakfast at The Lalit was outstanding. Mr. Amjad, Rajib, Chef Dabjeet, and Ayush were extremely courteous and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. Housekeeping / Administration: We accidentally left a few items in the room, and the housekeeping team promptly identified them and reached out to me. They are now arranging to courier the items back to me, which reflects great professionalism and care. Thanks to Alok, Aditya etc.

Disliked:Heritage Block Access: The property has a heritage block that requires an additional fee to visit. It would be a great gesture if guests with confirmed bookings were allowed complimentary access to this area. Check-in Experience: There was some confusion during check-in regarding our booking. I had reserved two rooms for three adults and one 15-year-old child. The booking.com confirmation clearly specified one room for two adults and the other for one adult and one child (15 years). However, the staff requested proof that a 15-year-old is considered a child as per the booking.com policy, which felt unnecessary and led to some arguments. Eventually, a senior staff member intervened and resolved the matter. A smoother and more informed handling of such situations would enhance the guest experience.

From the moment we crossed the threshold, we weren't treated as mere guests; we were embraced like long-lost family returning home. Every single corner of this gorgeous property is illuminated by genuine, radiant smiles. The true magic culminated on my birthday. I have traveled far and wide, but I have never felt so profoundly celebrated, seen, and cherished. Not only was I greeted with warmth by everyone I crossed paths with, but the entire housekeeping team unexpectedly turned up at my door, each holding a single, beautiful rose. It was a breathtaking, emotional gesture. To be honored with that level of thoughtfulness is something I will carry in my heart forever. An exceptional property is nothing without its people, and the team here possesses a DNA deeply rooted in the art of service. Giri and Komal at the front office anchored our stay with flawless efficiency and unmatched warmth. Adrija, Amjad, Dipu, Chandrima, and Viveck elevated our breakfast sessions and every single day with their constant attentiveness and grace, while Rik crafted the most spectacular, authentic South Indian coffee. A special mention must go to the incredible brothers who welcomed us at the doorstep; even when covered with sweat due to the intense heat, they never once flinched, maintaining their dignity and welcoming smiles. At the helm of this incredible symphony of service is the chief lady of the property, Ms. Rekha Paul. It is instantly evident that she is a visionary leader who leads by example, and it is clear that her DNA carries the true depth of service. In our Vedas, it is quoted "Athithi Devo Bhava," meaning the guest is God. The Lalit Great Eastern is indeed the definition of this shloka.
