Best of the best - for so many reasons

Liked:My partner and I just celebrated a milestone birthday at Life in Amed with 35 family and friends - and I am still buzzing from how brilliant it was. The beachfront location in sleepy Lean Beach, Amed is idyllic - sea breezes rustling through the palms, the sounds of the surf. Life in Amed is like old Bali - traditional architecture, a focus on beauty and the most amazing service. In the 6 months leading up to this 4-day fiesta, Sari (the owner) and Nyoman (the manager) were brilliant. They planned the feasting, they found the most brilliant band and were full of ideas. Nyoman is a magician - there is no problem he can't solve. His team (hello Gede, Nana, Eka, Made and all the rest) were likewise making sure we all had the best time ever - and we did - and always with big beautiful smiles. Most of us did the daily yoga (so special) and ate regularly at the restaurant which serves tasty and fresh food. We lay by the pool, went snorkelling, got massages. We did it all. We stayed in the Perfumed Garden 3 bedroom villa - which looked out to sea. My family and friends were scattered around the other rooms. Not only lovely but great value for money. I feel like a review cannot do justice to all the amazing help and service we received. My partner and I, family and friends have come home with the best memories.

Beautiful property, lovely yoga, delicious breakfast

Liked:I stayed nearby and came to this beautiful property for yoga and breakfast. Both were wonderful! The teacher, Nuri, noted that she tailors the class to the ability and energy of the participants and since it was just me I felt like she read my needs perfectly! It was a nice mix of deep stretches without being a bunch of planks and long holds and calm and relaxation without being too easy. I have practiced yoga for 15+ years and appreciate learning different styles. She taught an unforgettable class, infusing movements that felt like Balinese dance arm and hand movements. So beautiful yet strong and allowed me to feel graceful, not my strong suit! Breakfast options are everything from local (nasi goreng) to pancakes, eggs any style, fresh fruit, and options for muesli/chia/flax etc. The staff were very attentive and friendly. And side note: Amed is the place to be for rainy season! Not as much rain and no flooding problems like in the south. A great place to drop in and feel relaxed right away with plenty of options for snorkeling and diving everywhere and sunset watching and nightlife about a 10 minute ride away.

Best massage EVER!

Liked:I went to their spa today. Best massage of my entire life – hands down! Life in Amed – Luri is pure magic. I’ve had a lot of massages in my life (Bali, Thailand, Europe, you name it), but nothing comes even close to what Luri just did. This wasn’t just a massage; it honestly felt like healing. From the moment she started, she was finding knots, blockages, and tension I didn’t even know existed. She reads your body like it’s an open book. She seamlessly mixed deep tissue work (the perfect pressure – firm but never painful), energy flow (I swear I could feel things shifting), long yoga-like stretches that opened me up in ways I haven’t felt in a long time, and somehow the whole thing was still incredibly relaxing. I floated out of there. 60 minutes felt like a full reset for body and soul. Because of my lung illness I constantly struggle to breathe properly, and that tension had built up terribly in my neck, shoulders, and ribcage. She released it all. If you’re in Amed, do yourself a favor and book with Luri at Life in Amed. She’s not just a therapist – she’s a healer. I’m already counting the days until I can come back. Thank you, Luri, you’re a gift! šŸ™šŸ’›

Best stay and soo close to the beach

Liked:Oh my god! I loved our stay! The rooms, the view, the bed, the bathrooms and the proximity to the beach made this experience one of a kind. I jumped into the ocean first thing in the morning and came back just walking one minute. Couldn't have had a better experience. Sarah the owner and the whole team are so helpful as well. Sooooooo recommended!
