Great Stay in Kansas City at Best Western Plus Speedway Inn

Liked:Love this hotel! I stay there whenever in the KC area. Location is great...shopping, dining and entertainment all nearby. A shuttle is available Spring and Summer. The Hollywood Casino is down the road a bit. Very fun and good dining available there too. Easy to find, good parking, located next to the NASCAR speedway. Very friendly staff. Clean and quiet.

A really nice hotel!

Liked:This is a wonderful place! An older property but meticulously maintained. The room was very comfortable, clean and well cared for. A great stop for a road trip because it is in the middle of every amenity you’d want. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Everything is broken and it smells like sewage

Liked:They call it a Best Western “Plus”. I wonder what the “plus” stands for. Because, after last night, I’d call it Best Western Minus. It’s a hotel, MINUS a working pool. Minus a working hot tub. Minus a working elevator. My personal favorite touch was the overwhelming smell of raw sewage. The guy at the front desk said “it would pass eventually” and that they “usually just run some hot water down the drains to help move it along” It didn’t move along. But after an evening of smelling like I was staying inside a toilet, I DEFINITELY DID move along to a different hotel. One that didn’t smell like a toilet. And one that did offer amenities like…well….anything that worked.

Clean, Quiet, Decent Breakfast

Liked:Stayed here two nights with wife and kids. Two queen beds and the room felt large, spacious. Everything was exceptionally clean. The hotel was full but I never heard voices or doors shutting like I have in other hotels. The free breakfast was pretty good with a good selection.
