Beautiful historic hotel full of "Old Charm".

Liked:My husband and I visit Julian at least once a year and always stay in Gold Rush hotel. It is a beautiful place in the town center, full of "old charm" with shared fireplace room/library and living room/dining room with many books and board games to play on a rainy day. We love it there and highly recommend to everyone who might be interested in feeling the good old times. A special mention goes to breakfast - which is fantastic, and totally matching the hotel's very unique ambience.

Disliked:Nothing really. If anyone needs a TV, that is not a place for you (and we do not!)

We are very satisfied and will return!

Liked:We liked the hospitality of the employees. They were great. Konnie at the front desk and Dicky the night shift manager. Very polite and informative. We appreciate the attention they gave us!

Disliked:We didn't the fact we only stayed one night. We plan on spending more time next visit and referring our family members to check this place out. Will plan on a longer stay next time!

Liked:We love Julian Gold Rush Hotel and visit a few times a year. We even give gift certificates every year to our children and their spouses for a weekend getaway. The staff is always so pleasant and wonderful. The rooms are very clean. The hotel is very accommodating. We love the location. We love the history behind the hotel and we also love to sit on the porch and people watch when we go. It would be nice if they change up the breakfast menu a little more frequently. It has been the same for several years that we have been going. It would be nice to have a little bit more variety.

Perfect for an overnight stay in Julian.

Liked:The locaiton was unbeatable right on the main street of Julian. The hotel was very charming, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
