Amazing stay!

Liked:Stayed at Merrodi La Porta had an amazing stay with them. Their staff were incredibly attentive. We had breakfast every morning during our stay with them. I’ve traveled A LOT and this has to be one of the best breakfast I’ve had. From the presentation to the how it actually taste. They sent out a survey asking if the occasion for our stay and we were on holiday for our anniversary/ honeymoon. They treated us with a delicious cake and wine. My husband and I could not believe how sweet and thoughtful the gesture was. They also organized our pick up from the airport to the hotel as well as pick up to airport drop off which was so helpful and stress free. Hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The location was also perfect. It was close to everything. From public transportation to different dining options and extremely close to the famous Galata Tower. 10/10 recommend!

Considering the value for money, I'd choose this hotel again, because of the staff and location.

Liked:It is next to the Galata Tower, which is very convenient (although the accommodation is on a hill, so that’s something to keep in mind — but it wasn’t a problem for us). We could reach public transportation within a 10-minute walk (tram, bus, ferry), so it was easy to get everywhere. The breakfast was varied and very delicious, and the staff were helpful, kind, and attentive. The housekeeping staff cleaned and organized the room beautifully every day. We couldn’t hear the guests staying next to us at all when we were in the room.

Disliked:Our room faced the street, and the window (due to its design) could not close properly, so it was often quite noisy, but we got used to it — and in Istanbul you shouldn’t really expect complete silence anyway. The bathroom ceiling was moldy because of water damage, which was unpleasant and I was only comfortable showering in a flip-flop.
