Overall, the stay was pleasant, but there is room for improvement

Liked:The apartment is well located for visiting some of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks. We stayed on the top floor and had access to a terrace, which was really pleasant and enjoyable.

Disliked:There were curtains, but they were not sufficiently opaque to block out the daylight, so a lot of light entered the apartment early in the morning. Personally, I found this quite disturbing. The bathroom ventilation system is also very noisy. We had a misunderstanding with the host during our stay, but we were eventually able to find a solution and resolve it. However, I did not appreciate the way the discussion was handled. The host spoke to his colleague in Turkish, knowing that I could not understand what they were saying. Afterwards, his colleague stopped discussing the matter with me, while the host did not even look me in the eyes. I found this behaviour rather disrespectful and unprofessional.

Great Stay

Liked:Really good-sized rustic apartment. Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Air Conditioning in every room. Excellent location in a secure building with a deadlock on the apartment door and security cameras in the stairwell. The owner responded quickly when we needed something. A cleaner changed our towels and emptied the rubbish after 2 nights.

Disliked:The WiFi connection was very bad, I think it's shared throughout the building so it keeps dropping or just won't connect. Was hard to plan visits to Hagia Sophia, etc, we had to buy a local data SIM. The bedrooms have sheer curtains so the rooms are very light, very early in the morning.
