Strongly recommend this hotel for comfort, ambience, friendly staff and convenient location

Liked:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the historic Hotel Schwarzer Adler. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and had a small balcony with a view over the rooftops to the mountains. The included breakfast was plentiful and an excellent buffet array of hot and cold dishes (and provided me with good quality GF bread). Our pleasant surprise was their laundry facilities for the guests - much needed at this stage of our trip! Located within walking distance of the railway station, main sights/restaurants in the historic city.

Liked:Excellent location, walkable distance from Train Station. Easy 2 minute walk to old city and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Disliked:The air conditioner was noisy, so had to turn off at night and open window, which let in all the street/footpath noise. Not a deal breaker - still a great venue.

Beautiful hotel - poorly designed shower needs a fix

Liked:Modern hotel with excellent service and roomy space room with views.

Disliked:Shower water splashed out of shower despite our most valiant efforts. Shower needs a redesign. Flooded bathroom with shower water was not fun
