Wonderful stay

Liked:We really enjoyed our stay here. The highlights were the food at the restaurant, the staff, and being right on the beach. Even Rico the parrot (who was a little shy at first) was very entertaining. Our family of four had a beach-front room, which was clean and spacious enough. The food....the breakfast was cooked fresh every morning by Tish - usually scrambled eggs with fresh fruit and sausage or bacon. The chocolate chip waffles were amazing. (You don't get to choose your breakfast, which I actually liked because it makes you try everything...great when traveling with kids). Mike in the restaurant was awesome...so kind and willing to offer suggestions. My 14 year old son (with a ravenous appetite) still talks about the chicken parmesan and inhaled the fresh bread at every opportunity. My daughter had the seafood pasta twice. There are plenty of eating options nearby if you're looking for something local and inexpensive (go to Maximo's!). The ice cream at Black Orchid very close by is excellent. You can borrow the hotel's beach cruisers to get into the village, or rent the golf cart. We did both and it was an excellent way to get around. We were there during the quieter season (mid-August) which we loved and happened to time it right as many shops and hotels were about to close down for a week or longer, something we didn't realize. The seaweed (sargassum) was a bit of an issue this year unfortunately, and got stinky too, but this didn't stop us from taking advantage of the free kayaks and paddle board. The sea is warm, clear, beautiful and we loved hearing the waves from our room. If you like to dive or snorkel you must do it here! We snorkeled and saw about five stingray, a nurse shark, lobsters and plenty of other colorful marine life. We had to leave very early on our last day and I won't forget waking to watch the sunrise over the calm, peaceful and glassy looking Caribbean Sea. Delightful!

Liked:The Parrot Cove is a wonderful place with a really helpful & friendly staff! Highly recommend this place for travelers who want to experience Belize’s beaches and culture.

Disliked:I really can’t think of any negatives at all.

Liked:Everything was lovely, the staff was exceptional, food was delicious, the view was so beautiful. Kiki the waitress has a big beautiful smile on her face that makes you feel welcome and gives you a sense of belonging. She is kind, beautiful, soft spoken, friendly and just overall a lovely person. We are glad we got to know such a beautiful person.

Disliked:That we had to leave.

Boutique hotel in Hopkings on the beach with great atmosphere

Liked:Being beachfront with access to kayaks and paddleboards, as well as a covered dock was quite nice. Walking down the beach in the morning was nice. The pool was great and refreshing. The room was nicely done and the AC works great. I love the little sitting area facing the pool and listening to the pool waterfall was nice. Staff was amazing and so friendly. I will come back

Disliked:I wish the pool was beachfront so you could enjoy both the sound of the ocean while being in the pool. The bed was a little more firm than I like. Also the store or market was a golf cart ride a few minutes down the street, nothing in walking distance.
