DISAPPOINTING

Disliked:We stayed only one night and checked out early next morning due to the unacceptable condition of the apartment. The listing photos were completely misleading. The sheets and towels were stained and dirty. The refrigerator was disgusting. The kitchen cabinets were filthy. The floors and rugs were dirty. There was a strong stale smell throughout the place. Overall cleanliness was far below any reasonable standard for a paid accommodation. The property had not been "professionally cleaned or inspected" as advertised, and basic upkeep was clearly neglected. We contacted the host (Holly) with photos documenting the issues. Host downplayed issues, saying they reflected the age and character of the home. She did offer to send someone to address the concerns, but we argued it was already too late. We could not stay another minute in that condition, and that the place was to be ready BEFORE the guest arrives, not after. These were not small issues that could be fixed within a couple of hours. We could only communicate through booking.com messaging system and had no direct contact with the owner. Gave us the cleaners email to send pictures. This was not an acceptable standard for a paid stay. DO NOT recommend this property. On a side note, the property is right across from Frick Park. Groups of people were still handing out well after midnight making loud noises. It did not feel safe.

Disliked:We had trouble with lock code system. Couldn't enter two times. The owner doesn't let you leave a message or email. He says talk to booking. I wouldn't recommend this place because of not being able to contact owner. And booking was a lo g process to get things corrected. Would not use booking com for non- hotel stay.
