Westin airport shuttle never showed up and we almost missed our flight

Liked:We booked this hotel because we had a very early morning flight out of IAD that we didn’t want to miss, and they advertised a twice-hourly free airport shuttle that runs 24/7. That turned out to be a mistake. The shuttle driver didn’t show up and we had to wait an extra half hour for the next shuttle. The staff was indifferent, and no manager was on duty. We almost missed our flight. I would not recommend this hotel if you will be relying on the shuttle to get you to and from Dulles.

Above and Beyond doesn't describe our experience

Liked:After an exhausting and stressful travel ordeal, the Westin Dulles Airport showed us a level of empathy and care that we will never forget. Our 5:40pm flight the night before was cancelled at 3am, and our airline failed to secure a hotel with early check‑in. When I called the Westin—practically in tears—they immediately took pity on us and welcomed us to check in at 6:30am. That kindness alone felt like a lifeline. They provided a comfortable, spotless room where we were finally able to rest after being awake nearly 30 hours. With our flight delayed 48 hours, we had time to fill, and the staff went above and beyond by driving us to the metro station so we didn’t have to take an expensive taxi into the city. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and they didn’t bat an eye when we needed to stay in the room until 1pm because our new flight wasn’t until late afternoon. In a week full of travel failures, the Westin Dulles Airport was the one place that truly took care of us. Their empathy, flexibility, and genuine kindness made all the difference.

Good home base in the DMV

Liked:This hotel has become a second home: comfortable, tidy, friendly, helpful. Easy to work and relax. Near all the major thoroughfares to get you where you need to go. Super convenient to Dulles. I especially enjoy a welcoming breakfast with Dahab at her coffee bar; she makes home seem not so far away.
